I visited NCAR for a month in the summer of 2024, to participate in the annual summer workshop and to collaborate with the Land Modelling Working Group on my crop heat stress work.

For my work with the WMO, I visited the national weather service of Senegal, ANACIM, for 10 days to collaborate with meteorologists. To prepare the workshop the following year, I spent some days in Tarragona, Spain and collaborated with researchers there.

As part of my MSc internship, I visited UTAS in the summer of 2017-2018 for the duration of six months, to work as a temporal member of the TerraLuma research team and get better acquainted with using drone imagery in environmental research. This included fieldwork in some of the beautiful landscapes of Tasmania.

During my MSc thesis research, I spent three months in Ethiopia for fieldwork on local farms in the Southwest Ethiopian highlands, together with a fellow student. We divided our time over the fieldwork area and the University campus in Wondo Genet. In the field, we were helped by the families who owned the land and local representatives and on campus we collaborated with sr. researchers and lab technicians.
