I'm an environmental scientist with a background in Earth sciences (BSc, Utrecht University), Physical geography (MSc, Utrecht University), and a PhD in Bioscience engineering obtained at KU Leuven. I'm passionate about solving problems related to land degradation and climate extremes, for which I make use of Earth observation, geospatial datasets and spatial models.
I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), in a climate research team, where I focus on effects of extreme heat on global crop yield using Earth system modelling.
